Eagle

In many Indigenous North American traditions, the eagle is the sacred messenger carrying prayers to the spirit world, representing vision and courage; in Lakota tradition the eagle (Wanbli) represents the east, new beginnings, and illumination, and in Roman tradition the eagle (aquila) was the symbol of Jupiter and the legions.
