The Gold Behind the Dark

The darker places are starting to reflect something you did not expect. Golden sheen obsidian is volcanic glass with oriented nanoparticle inclusions that create a warm flash inside a black body. Sometimes the shadow carries its own light.

The Warm Protector

Anger and grounding keep arriving together and you cannot figure out which one to trust. Mahogany obsidian streaks reddish-brown iron patterns through black volcanic glass, warmth embedded in something that cooled too fast. The iron left a mark the glass kept.

The Shadow Rainbow

The dark period has more color in it than you are seeing from this angle. Rainbow obsidian reveals iridescent bands only when curved surfaces catch the light from within the volcanic glass. Darkness can contain an entire spectrum when the viewing shifts.

The Scrying Mirror

The sharpest perception arrived in the dark. Silver sheen obsidian forms when volcanic glass cools with aligned gas bubble inclusions that reflect a pale metallic light from within black material. Insight, here, has a cooler temperature than expected.

The Pattern Revealer

The dark period is already producing its own pattern and you have not noticed yet. Snowflake obsidian is volcanic glass that has begun crystallizing internally, forming white spherulites of cristobalite. Structure can emerge from chaos without being rushed.
